Quilting for Lutheran World Relief

A quilt is special! Lutheran World Relief (LWR) explains a quilt brings warmth on a cold night or shelter from the sun on a hot day. It becomes a bed, a room divider, a backpack to carry belongings, and at times even a home. Each quilt is one of a kind, with a beauty all its own, made as a gift of hope by caring people. Quilts are distributed by LWR to refugees and other people in need.

Quilters meet on the Tuesday of each month at 9:00 AM.  For more details e-mail Marjorie Bixler,  or call the church office at 937.592.7699

Why Federal Budget Matters

The ELCA Advocacy Office continues to monitor and provide information about ongoing budget negotiations in Washington. The Advocacy Office is encouraging members to contact Representatives and Senators to balance the budget responsibly, and to preserve effective programs that serve the most vulnerable of our citizens. Visit http://www.elca.org/en/Faith/ELCA-Teaching to find out more about the issues, and remember Jesus' words, "as you did it to one of the least of these . . . you did it also to me." Your voice makes a difference.
